Sojourn Application

NOTE: Please carefully read Prepare to Sojourn and the CCA Land Covenant before starting to fill out this form.

Due to the serious nature of entering into a solitary retreat in a sparsely populated wildland setting, the following information is required before we can grant acceptance. If you have questions about the application email Susan Tollefson, co-chair of the Hermitage Committee.

Advance notice of at least two weeks is required. Extended stays beyond a couple of weeks are only granted in limited circumstances. Check Calendar for availability of your desired dates. (Note that there is a two-night minimum stay required at the Caravan Hermitage.)

NOTE: The following questions are meant to help you prepare for your retreat and ensure that your stay is safe and meaningful to you.

Please initial the following after each statement:

Because a solitary retreat with CCA requires a substantial commitment of time, effort, and scheduling on the part of staff and volunteers, we ask that you carefully consider your schedule before making a reservation and that you make every effort to keep your sojourn commitment. If you are unable to do so please notify CCA as soon as possible.*

I have read "Prepare to Sojourn", especially the Seasonal Considerations and What to Bring / Not to Bring.*

I have read the CCA Land Covenant and agree to abide by the Covenant while on retreat.*

I understand that no animals other than service animals on a leash will be allowed at the Corbett Center.*

To the best of my knowledge I have no physical or mental condition that would preclude my participation in a solitary retreat.*

Sojourners are expected to take responsibility and due precautions for their health and safety. CCA volunteers may not be wilderness experts, mental health workers, or health care providers. They should not be relied upon to provide physical assistance, psychological counseling, or emergency care. The CCA reserves the right to deny a retreat to any person without cause. A release form signed by the sojourner will be required on arrival.*

CCA is a non-profit organization funded entirely through donations. There is no set fee for use of the facilities. However, we ask that each sojourner donate what is possible within their means to assist others to have access to this unique experience.*

By clicking on the submit button below, I [type full name below] agree to the above statements.*
