Home Canning

Participants
in this one day workshop learned to home can a variety of fruits, vegetables
and meats using water bath and pressure canning methods. Participants
took home samples of foods canned during the workshop.

Led
by: Pearl Mast and David Omick. Pearl grew up canning for a household
of 12 people. She and David have continued to use this method of food
preservation during their years of living without refrigeration in the
Sonoran Desert.
